How the Courier files the record

  1. Read. Every 20 minutes the Courier checks the public feeds and news pages of 40 issuers: Summit County’s offices, courts and county-wide boards, and 25 of its 31 cities, villages and townships. It asks each site’s robots.txt first.
  2. Sort. Code, not editors, files each item by issuer and kind, puts meeting notices and agendas in the Meetings Ledger by their meeting date, and tags the communities it names.
  3. Link out. Each item is its official headline, time and a link to the original, with the issuer’s own opening words where its feed or page shows them, credited.

Summit Courier writes no stories, adds no commentary and uses no AI. What it is, and is not.
